A POPULAR street food SNACK, JHAL MURI IS PACKED WITH texture AND flavor. PERFECTLY LIGHT, CRISPY, CRUNCHY WHILE ALSO spicy AND refreshing.


Serves: 4 people

Cook Time: 5 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Muri (puffed rice)

  • ½ cup Chanachur 

  • ¼ tsp black salt (can substitute with regular salt)

  • ¼ cup boiled peas 

  • 3 - 4 finely chopped green Thai chilis (use less chilis if your spice tolerance is low)

  • 1 tsp mustard oil (optional)

  • 1 small finely chopped onion

  • 1 small chopped tomato

  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro 


INSTRUCTIONS:

⋄ Step 1:

Prep your ingredients for assembly. Chop your tomato, onion and cilantro. In a pot, boil your peas and set aside. 

 

⋄ Step 2:

Using a large mixing bowl mix, add all the ingredients together, mix quickly and serve.
