A CLASSIC family recipe FROM OUR HOME, CRAFTED BY MY PARENTS AND ENJOYED THROUGHOUT my childhood. BBQ HAS never TASTED this good.

Serves: 4 people

Cook Time: 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds of bone-in chicken

  • 2 tsp salt (adjust per your taste)

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp red chili powder

  • 2 tbsp ginger paste (refer to my ginger paste recipe below!)

  • 2 tbsp garlic paste (refer to my garlic paste recipe below!)

  • 2 tsp lemon juice

  • ¼ cup oil (Vegetable or Extra Virgin Olive oil, your choice!)

  • 4 tbsp ketchup

INSTRUCTIONS:

⋄ Step 1:

After washing and cleaning your chicken, cut slits into each piece. Set aside and put into a large mixing bowl.

Add 2 teaspoons of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 2 tablespoons of ginger paste, 2 tablespoons of garlic paste, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, ¼ cup oil, and 4 tablespoons of ketchup into the bowl, mix well ensuring chicken is covered evenly.

⋄ Step 2:

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for approx 2 hours (the longer you marinate, the better).

After marinating for desired length of time, it's time to grill your chicken until fully cooked.

Serve with grilled Naan or serve with Spicy Bengali Pasta.

From our kitchen to yours, Bismillah.
